This year’s 2012 Masters at Augusta National is intriguing on a number of levels, but the most interesting showdown without question will be the one between Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. Despite the fact that McIlroy has largely dominated the competition this year en route to a No. 1 ranking, Woods was able to instantly become the favorite at golf’s biggest event following one win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. A win mind you, that came against a field that didn’t include McIlroy. Look for the youngster to aim to make a statement against his more seasoned counterpart in this one.
