2012 Masters Head-To-Head Betting Odds Highlighted By Tiger Woods And Rory McIlroy

This year’s 2012 Masters at Augusta National is intriguing on a number of levels, but the most interesting showdown without question will be the one between Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. Despite the fact that McIlroy has largely dominated the competition this year en route to a No. 1 ranking, Woods was able to instantly become the favorite at golf’s biggest event following one win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. A win mind you, that came against a field that didn’t include McIlroy. Look for the youngster to aim to make a statement against his more seasoned counterpart in this one. Woods is listed at -120 and McIlroy is listed at -110 in a Masters head to head matchup.

Another interesting head to head to keep an eye on is Phil Mickelson versus Luke Donald. Mickelson comes into this one looking to pick up his fourth career Masters win, and given the success he has had here in the past the prospect of that happening isn’t especially farfetched. At the same time, Luke Donald is very skilled and is a legitimate sleeper pick for this year’s tournament, so he very easily could give the competition a run for their money. Mickelson is listed at –120 and Westwood is listed at –
120 in a head to head matchup.

A classic head to head battle in any contest, but especially the Masters, is Woods versus Mickelson. With only one strong win to his name in recent memory, there are a lot of questions about whether Woods can reclaim his throne in a sport he largely carried right up until a few years ago. At the same time, Lefty has shown a certain propensity for choking away big time events to Woods – something that he will obviously aim to change this time around. Woods is –155 and Mickelson is +120 in a head to head matchup.

Last year, Adam Scott came very close to winning the Masters before eventually being beaten by a very talented Charl Schwartzel. This year, Scott is listed at –125 and Schwartzel is being listed at –105 in a head to head matchup.

There are plenty of other interesting head to head matchups listed, so it’s just a matter of finding one that looks good to you and being confident in the guy you select.
